I've been looking forward to this arrival for two reasons. One is is my first Hawes, secondly it is the lowest serial for a Hawes that I have seen to date. That may change after some of you chime in. The import mark takes up most of the right slide similar to the Browning imports. No date code on grips. Magazine has large dovetails and no caliber marking. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Udo,
IIRC, it was OTD who said that there is no legal requirement for the "triple serials". Among modern SIGs, early factory Xguns only have serial on frames and slides. The barrels have none, except the required proof mark. Only in the last year or two before SIG DE closed shop did they start serialize the barrel, also. Who knows why they did what they did.

Never thought about the serials with the Hawes P220s.
The most recent triple serial Sig I have is a P250.

Chaos, panic and disorder. My work here is done........
Not everyone gets the same version of me. One person might tell you I'm an amazing beautiful soul. Another person will say I'm a cold-hearted asshole. Believe them both. I act accordingly......
There ya go. I knew odds were there was was an earlier one out there. That puts me in good company. I’m amazed HAWES was able to be first in line to import the P220 and we are able to prove it because they choose use the existing serial sequence. May I post yours to the serial list?
