You reached out to the company? According to your verified email address- the one you used to register in this forum- you are the company.
Oops?

Good way to destroy whatever credibility you might otherwise have had, 320fan.

Wait, what? The main focus of this thread is a discussion re: ordinary folks generically using an otherwise trademarked name to describe a recognized category or class of products - not the outright counterfeiting of some doohickey while hijacking the product's trade name. Perhaps you would consider hosting a KARMA by offering one of your original Gas Pedal® takedown levers to the SIGforum membership? A tremendous amount of collective firearms experience and knowledge resides within this forum. I'm certain the lucky winner would offer a fair and unbiased evaluation on these pages.

Let me see...

Signing up to a forum so you could resurrect an over five month old thread so you couldn't introduce yourself and talk about a doohickey® nobody wants that is made by a company nobody has ever heard of?

Well golly gee! Here's to you! ™

EG "Talon®" is a registered trademark but applies to about about 20 categories, from firearms grips to golf clubs. However, within the group, only owner can use it. Before you criticize the American Way, you should look up Intellectual Property law and practice. Most Americans abide by it, but the Chinese don't. The whole reason for trademarks is so copy cats, that have products that dont work, cant call their product by a Trademarked name.
Earlier today, I thought I might offer you the opportunity to explain all of this to us- the claims of you being highly litigious, etc.

But now I see that it would be pointless. You can't even acknowledge your identity. Unless you're going to claim that you've stolen someone's email address, I know exactly who you are. Instead of railing on like a college kid about "haters" and the Chinese, how about you try being genuine with us?

I have been totally honest and truthful, trying to educate haters what Inteletual Property law is required in USA. We have never been litigious or sued anybody. In fact several companies have signed licenses with us which we give out for a song. Haters simplly are ignorant of law, and likely old fashioned unwilling to adopt something new that just plain works. Makes haters look old and not current.

"Haters"? Roll Eyes

Jeez son, you sound like you're 12 years old.

How can I hate you when before this recent thread bump, I have never heard of your company?

Calling members here "haters" and commies, well you just have a sensible business acumen, 'eh?

In your interactions in this forum, you have been anything but honest. All one has to do is read through this thread to see that you have been disingenuous from jump.

I'm grateful, though, to renew my appreciation for the representatives of businesses and manufacturers who introduce themselves, and who plainly state their business.

You might have contacted board administration before posting, or you might have posted and introduced yourself, rather than wanting to appear as just another new member. This would have gotten you a long way in this forum, with me and with the membership as well. We're not a bunch of naive kids. Perhaps you've found such in other forums, but in this place, we're old hands. And I suspect that you, too, are no spring chicken and that you damn well know how to behave.

You'll continue to obsess about registered trademarks and rail on about "haters" and you're not going to acknowledge the reasoning presented in this thread, as to why your concerns about the integrity of your trademark are more than a bit off.

I realize I might as well be talking to a wall, but there you have it.

320fan, I'm simply trying to help by restating Para's point using different words.

The issue is not about intellectual property. There are several lawyers who are active in this forum and can definitely school anyone, even you, on intellectual property rights.

The issue, as noted, is your dishonesty about who you are. You portrayed yourself as not being a part of the company - "I reached out to the company" - when, as pointed out by Para who owns this forum and has admin rights, your email that you used to register with this forum pegs you as being at least an employee for the forum.

Honesty and admitting to your errors goes a long way in this forum. I'm thinking if you had been upfront with who you are and your intent, people might have even respected that and attempt to refrain from being casual with the use of "gas pedal."

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Seriously? You start out by failing to disclose your relationship with the company. Then you double-down by stating "I reached out to the company and they said..." Now it's "we" and "us," which clearly illustrates you are, indeed, either the owner or an employee of the company.

You have burned your bridges here but good, son. Well done!

I have one on my race gun. The biggest advantage is for table starts, IMO.

If you get it “right” it, and a weak hand forefinger on the front of the trigger guard can really improve control - I’ve always struggled with consistency with it, though.

I never understand when a business purposely destroys the chance to do business with potential customers. It is compounded by the fact (most likely) that he is too stubborn or too stupid to just accept his mea culpa and perhaps salvage something from this ridiculous display of dishonesty. I won’t hold my breath.

I repeat I have been totally honest and truthful.

If you want to be pedantic about introductions, I will clear the air. I should have said I reached out to others related to company and confirmed we never took anybody to court. Basically to correct a lie about the company that is litigious.

That said the main trusts of my posts have been to correct errors about copycats that dont work.

Have you ever heard, "Oh, I tried a Gas Pedal" and it didnt work for me"? Was it a real Gas Pedal Brand used correctly or Brand X ? What does that confusion do to the person who wants an easier way to defend themselves, and is preconditioned with incorrect information.

I would say its a shame that folks these days call others bad names so easily, without knowing about the subject, or caring what it shows about themselves, like dishonesty

I'm no Saint for sure but you have taken the top spot. Congrats.
