I’m a big striker fired pistol fan... These guns are generally less expensive and often smaller than their hammer fired counterparts. But...
If we didn’t have striker fired pistols - what would you carry?
This is just merely to spark some fun and nostalgic discussion. Since most striker fired guns are relatively recent - what would you look for in a hammer fired gun..,

My primary carry gun for nearly 20 years (and still is) a DAK P229.

“ Enlightenment is man’s emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one’s own understanding without another’s guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one’s own mind without another’s guidance.” — Immanuel Kant

Same as I sometimes already do: My Colt Defender in .45 ACP.

Without strikers my life wouldn’t change much. I will always have glocks because they are the bottled water of the gun world but I would carry a CZ. Or a Beretta. Or a Sig. And be fine.
