I’m a big striker fired pistol fan... These guns are generally less expensive and often smaller than their hammer fired counterparts. But...

If we didn’t have striker fired pistols - what would you carry?

This is just merely to spark some fun and nostalgic discussion. Since most striker fired guns are relatively recent - what would you look for in a hammer fired gun..,

DA/SA SIG P226.

Likely, when I retire, it will be all that I carry.

Without strikers, I’d probably be all 1911. Although I did carry DA/SA Sigs for more than a decade. I would still feel well served with them.

A CZ of some type. I like the 226/229 but the CZ fits better.

Without strikers my life wouldn’t change much. I will always have glocks because they are the bottled water of the gun world but I would carry a CZ. Or a Beretta. Or a Sig. And be fine.
