What I carried for past 3 decades....SIG P220, SIG P226 or SIG P239.....my new P365 is the first striker fired gun have ever owned. I DID NOT buy it for the striker fired...actually prefer a hammer....I bought it for the size and capacity it offers and being a SIG I am confident in quality even with hiccups.

My favorite 9mm is my WC Beretta so that would still be there. It's too big to carry though. Lots of good hammer fired choices, the EZ line is hammer fired, an HK 45C, Sig 239 or 225, P220 compact...

My duty gun was a P-220, before that it was a P-226.
Heavy lil buggers, but I have no problem trusting my life with either one.

Prior to cop-life, I toted around a 1911, and a BHP. No problem carrying one of those either.

I am not a fan of striker fired handguns. The only one I own is a Colt 1908 Hammerless .25 Vest Pocket shipped in 1915.

I carry a government model 1911 in either .45 ACP or 10mm most of the time. I have revolvers available in larger calibers if I feel the need for more power.

For a woods gun, S&W 686

For carry, A Sig 239 or a SiG 229 or 226 (9MM) with a Grey Guns SRT kit and other goodness.

If SIG had modded the magwell for the 239 to 10 rounds of 9mm in a semi-staggered way (like the P365) I'd be a very happy New Yorker.

I put an arched mainspring housing on my 1911 and it was a revelation. If I didn't have Glocks to carry it'd probably be a 1911 or 2011 in 9mm.

I’d carry a S&W 3914 in town and a 3 inch Model 65 in the woods. I’d throw in an early 442 for deep concealment. I’d be fine with this set up. I like my glocks, but I wouldn’t be crushed if I had to go old school.

I started with SIG DA/SA pistols, then moved to SAO. I would probably carry one of my Browning P35 pistols. I’d probably send my modern production BHP to a smith crazy enough to put a light rail on it.

Probably something along the lines of a Sig P225 or S&W 3913.

J-Frame for when I need to carry something smaller.

Pretty much my current carry...
p229r at work
p239 off the clock but carrying based on my commision
1911 variant when I carry what I prefer off duty based on my permit.

Mix in various other Sigs and an HK p30 when the mood strikes.

Only striker guns I carry now are my p365 (approved BUG and off duty) and occasionally a Glock 19. I used to carry the Glock a lot more, but the 365 has kind of usurped it as my perfect combination of size, capacity, and caliber. The p365 is a SUPERB CCW. I just don't like it as much as I do other things (and I probably am secretly rebelling against being told what I can carry on my own time).

I find myself after many years without a striker fired handgun. I have DA revolvers, 1911's and DA/SA semi-auto's that keep me quite happy. Which reminds me to go shooting today. Big Grin
