That could make an inspirational picture if you're so inclined. Sounds fantastic. But I'm partial to CZ guns (like who isn't).

This has been great info guys. I think I'm narrowing it down between the P226 Legion and the CZ Shadow 2 Orange.

I don't have a CZ in the stable. All reviews on the CZ have been really good.

Go CZ. You don’t have one and the S2O is something special. A P226 Legion is, well, just sort of an expensive slightly better P226 IMO. That doesn’t make it bad by any stretch but it’s not special either IMO.

Just my two cents and I don’t know stuff about stuff so take it for what it’s worth.

Take care, shoot safe

So I was poking-around the CZ site a couple nights ago (kinda toying with the idea of replacing my G34 with a CZ TS 2) and got to thinking about the recent 1911 thread and Dan Wesson. So I wandered over to the DW site.

That's when I spotted this:

Dan Wesson DWX

quote:

It started as an experiment — a grand melding of Dan Wesson and CZ pistols. Borrowing the crisp single-action fire control group of a DW 1911 and combining it with the ergonomics and capacity of a CZ, the resulting pistol emerged as something great.

A cross between a 1911 and a CZ? Hmmm...

At the high end of the OP's revised budget, though, and above my new "Are you nuts?" line

For range fun and accuracy/ CZ Shadow 2 with some trigger work. SIG P210A out of the box. The SIG P210A Target requires no modifications.

From what I’ve shot/owned so far, the Langdon Elite LTT RDO. Super smooth recoil, the trigger is light with a positive and short reset, and they just shoot well for me.
