Damn. That's a hell of a score. Nice.

Damn good guess!! LOL! My uncle was a flight instructor on the L1011 with Delta years ago - first heavy he taught me how to fly.

I’m still scratching my head trying to figure out how dubage inferred all that from your user!

Anyway, great find and price. I still have & use the dove tail OEM mags for my JJ model. But she more frequently wears the 17-rd Mec-Gars.

It always surprises me that some folks still prefer the 17 round Mec-Gars to the 18 rounders.

The FYI on how I knew... I’m an ex-Delta aircraft mechanic in Atlanta. First plane I flew on as a kid, first plane I worked on at Delta and first plane I took a test hop on. The “RB211” or RB211-22B is the engine for the Lockheed L1011. Which Delta was the largest operator of. Airline/plane people are members of a club of sorts. LOL

Wow! Small world it is! My uncle started as a mechanic there before he became a flight instructor - cant remember which types he worked on, he taught on the L10, MD88/90, 757, 767, and was the director of ground training at one point. Dont know if you knew him, his name was Bob Wagner. My first ride was on an L1011!

Nice score! I couldn't pass that up at that price. Luckily I never have steals like that fall in my lap or I'd be broke.
