The P228 was my duty gun and has a special place. It is hard to choose between all my classics but recently it has become a tossup between the Legion P220 SAO and Legion P226 SAO.

Tossup between the P210 and P226 X-Five Competition, but for the money, the P226 Legion SAO is nearly as nice.

I've only owned 3 Sigs -

P229 .40
P239 .40
P232 .380

The P232 was far and away my favorite of the three. Unfortunately I sold them when I fell on hard times about 14 years ago.

I'm still kicking myself for getting rid of that P232. What a sweet shooter that thing was, and at just under 3 bills new at the time.

When I grab my 226 for some dry fire, I marvel at how well it feels in the hand and the confidence I have in it.

However I prefer the P320 Full that is my range gun. Simple to clean, very customizable, and extremely easy to shoot. P320 is my favorite.

My P228 I stupidly sold years ago. Looking back, it was the perfect Sig for me. Now it is my P365.

Swiss P210s, easily.

At the moment, it's this P210-5 "Nationalmannschafts-Modell" in particular -- one of a very small number of P210s built on the early forged heavy frame.

The best feeling, best trigger by far, most accurate by far, is my P226 Legion. My favorite is my P228Wink

My 1989 P220.

Not that anyone who owns a 220 needs to know they have a fantastic pistol, but I read this years ago and think it holds true today:

Chuck Taylor wrote in the fourth edition of The Gun Digest Book of Combat Handgunnery, “The P220 is a simple design, perhaps as simple as a handgun can be and still work. Its human engineering is excellent..its mechanical performance leaves nothing to be desired. It is probably the best DA self-loader around. In summary, the P220 is an excellent example of how good a DA auto can be. As such, it is well worth its not-inconsequential price and clearly a handgun upon which one could with confidence bet his life.”

West German P220/45, M11A-1. 226 in 9mm, and My Legion 229 in that order.

My wife has a P239 which if it was mine, it would rank very highly.
