I apologize, I was not clear.

The early T & E models had the internal extractors. I do not think the external extractors for the P-220 were even on the drawing board when the early T & E models were built.

The thing that appealed to me about this gun, was at the time, I started with a clean piece of paper and listed everything I would want if I were creating the best P-220 for me. Shortly thereafter, a member here posted about these being made available. There was a member, I believe in the PNW, who had 2 but planned to keep them both. However, he turned me on to a Seller in CA, from whom I bought mine.

It was a blackened, all stainless P-220, with a non-proprietary rail, checkering in all the right places, night sights. I did the math. if I bought a new stainless P-220, sent it to the factory for N/S and refinish it in Nitron, I would have well in excess of $1,000 (this was the early 2000's). This model was a real bargain, IMO.

Thank you.

At the time, for me, it was everything I wanted in a P-220. It is still a favorite, especially when shooting heavy loads.

Not sure if the one on gunbroker is the same one mentioned here. But the seller listed it as Rare! 220 ST

If it is the one I am looking at on GB, it is not finished in Nitron (even though it says it is), it appears to be bare stainless. Also, first time I have seen "a load of high capacity magazines" for the P-220. I see some 8's and 2-10's, but do not consider them high capacity.

Smile

Edited: I think I found the one you are looking at. I wish him well at $1,300.00.

IMO, it is better than the one claiming to have the Nitron finish, by a long shot, but I am still not sure about the $1,300.00

Those pistols were not made for NH F&G, but rather for the NH State Police. For a short period of time, they issued the 220ST, and the Nitron models were issued to SWAT team members.

I converted mine to DAK; it did not leave the factory that way.

Is that something the factory would do? I would love to convert my bare P220ST to DAK.

Edit: I did some research and it looks like they will. I might have to give them a call.

200 bucks + shipping for a DAK conversion, that's nut. Why don't you do it yourself and save money?

I'll consider that too but I want to carry this one. I don't mind working on stuff for the range but for a self defense pistol I think I'd prefer that experts do it.

I absolutely understand your views about that in many situations, but I can assure you that once you learn how to swap out the action mechanism from DA/SA to DAK, there is literally nothing you can screw up short of losing a part. If the gun works properly after you’ve put it back together, it won’t stop working because a part gets loose or out of adjustment due to something you did.

The only caveat to all that is that it may be difficult to find instructions for working on the DAK system specifically. There are a few things that make the job easier if done differently than assembling the traditional DA/SA models, but I’m sure someone (like me Smile ) would be happy to give you the relevant tips.

Have you detail stripped a Ruger MKII/MKIII? If so, how does the SIG compare? I can easily do the Rugers.

No experience with Rugers, but based on what I have read about them, a SIG Classic line pistol is nothing compared to them. Before all the videos, I used to give people instructions on changing triggers in writing. Full disassembly is a bit more complicated, but not too much.

I remember this post which might help you:

https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...0601935/m/2660024974

After posting that link, I realized that member 10x Sniper had mentioned "Mine is a P220R-45-SBSS".
The research link is specific to an early run that was not marked "P220R-45-SBSS". The research link includes early frames with serial number G3xx xxx.
