So today, I removed the trigger assembly and changed out the trigger return spring and polished the channel it rides in. This made a noticable difference. The trigger pull is nice and smooth, maybe as good as I have (mostly Smiths and Colts).
Pull now reads DA 8-1/2 and SA is 3-1/2. Really enjoy shooting this Ruger. With target loads of .38 special 158 gr. it is a very soft shooting revolver. Even with .38 + P it wasn't bad. I shot a couple of paper targets (second one is about as good as I can shoot free hand). and then some steel plates in double action. Truly a great shooting revolver, great sights and the grip module is very comfortable.

I love mine! I can only go so long before I’ve just got to put a wheel gun in my range bag. And that Ruger scratches the itch perfectly. I love the balance, sight picture and grips. The little bit of action work as you describe definitely brings it up a notch.

Makes me want to find a 3" version and tune it up. I believe that would be a great shooter as well.
