I was looking hard at the Helton custom full size but I kinda wanted both. The seller and I negotiated a fair deal for the pair. Two nice high quality 1911s. The custom build list.

Full Build done by Dave Helton
Hard Chrome done by Metaloy
Caspian Frame
Baer Premier Slide
Colt Barrel
10-8 Rear Sight
Front Night Sight
25 LPI Checkering
Ed Brown Hardcore Slide Stop
Ed Brown Bushing
Harrison Extreme Service Short Trigger
Cylinder and Slide Tactical II Hammer, Sear and Disconnector
Cylinder and Slide Tactical Thumb Safety
French Cut Border
Ball Cuts
Beveled Bottom Edge
Serrated Top of Slide
VZ Diamondback Grips

Then the Ed Brown Masood Ayoob Signature Edition

Beautiful. A pair of perfect 1911 pistols.

I think I got a good deal considering the quality pieces in both. Both are used and have a few marks here and there but to fine 1911s for sure.

Wow..very nice. That feature atop the slide, on the Helton Custom. We would enjoy seeing it. Those serrations make a 1911 just pop.

If I had the funds to boot, I would have a Hilton Yam Springfield. That ones had my fancy lately.

Thank you. That is some fine work and not everyone can cut those. Time was when nearly every pistol or revolver had a serrated sight plane.

DL, you are welcome. One of my favorite S&W revolvers is the Model 27 with the checkered top strap. I agree with you on this. Smile

Beautiful 1911’s, both of them. I’ve always liked the bobtail frame. I’ve got a Kobra Carry that I’ve owned a long while.

That Helton is absolutely perfect. Everything I'd want in a custom 1911. Nice score!
