So maybe you can explain why posting good photos and a few comments about uncommon pistols in a firearms forum is “greatly disconnected”.

Pipesmoker,

I won’t have Smudge defend me here, though I’m sure he would. Again, I don’t have a great defense for why I feel that way, instead it’s just a feeling I have. I’ve expressed it in bac’s posts before. I never seen much from him except, “hey look what I bought lately”. There are many well off forum members, many, but no others constantly make posts purely displaying this fact.

I’m sorry you took offense, and again, maybe I’m simply wrong, but the posts are akin to new members just posting in the classifieds to me, it goes against the heart of this forum.

And if you ask me to further explain I’ll have to concede that I can’t, it’s very subjective.

Re: “I’m sorry you took offense“

I wasn’t offended OttoSig, merely puzzled because I didn’t see any reason to criticize bac for his OP.

Not to hijack but, Patw ... for real!! I love the watch thread and used it while shopping for my oldest son who is about to graduate from boot camp, but man I went through a lot of things I liked that were way over my $300 budget. Same with cars, and guns!

And thanks bac1023 for the nice pictures!

Race guns are very cool. I wonder if those wood grips are made for them by Nils. They look as nice.

I'm not saying anything nice until Bac posts a picture of his Registered Magnum.

Beautiful pistols. I for one enjoy seeing the gamut of pistol types, and the exceptional craftsmanship of these STPs.

If you like religion, laws or sausage, then you shouldn't watch them being made.

Always enjoy seeing the new acquisitions, several that I've never heard of or seen even in the shops that have some very high end firearms.

bac1023,

I suspect you've shot a bunch of different 2011s. I have a few single stack 1911s -- .45, 9mm, 10mm. Wilson, Ed Brown, Colt Delta Elite, Kimber Super Match. It's been awhile, but I have shot a couple of STI 2011s. I'm kinda thinking about a "one and done" scenario for a 9mm 2011.

The Nighthawk BDS9 appeals to me, if nothing else because I'd like a Nighthawk. I've shot a few Nighthawk .45's over the years and liked them.

The interwebs seem pleased with Stacatto and Atlas.

Your thoughts on nicer 2011 options?

There’s a lot of great ones. Infinity, Atlas, LimCat, phoenix Trinity, etc. I would not put Staccato in this company.

Atlas is one of the best and easy to order, as options are limited. I love the two I have.
