I am the original owner of a Stainless Steel Sig Sauer P232 in .380 caliber with a Crimson Trace Laser Grip. I think that I may have only shot less than 200 rounds. The slide is very stiff on the weapon, and it is difficult to rack the slide to chamber the gun. Is it possible that I have the spring installed the wrong way on the barrel? Should I be using a special oil on the weapon to loosen up the slide a bit? I having some slight issues with my hands because I have Multiple Sclerosis. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

First thing you should try is manually cocking the hammer first. Also make sure you're not pinching the slide with your thumb and first finger. Do it this way: https://youtube.com/shorts/JFV...?si=kkR5yAXVjaHAKSrq --------------------------- My hovercraft is full of eels.

1KPer Day,. Thanks, I will try that. I am going to add some oil to the rails. I never have any problems raking my P239 in the 9 MM, like I do with the P232.

Yeah the blowback .380s definitely have stiffer springs than standard locking-breech 9mms. --------------------------- My hovercraft is full of eels.
