Thanks. That is my major concern, damaging the frame.

They do send off to a third party for actual hardcoat anodizing.

geojelly; only black, sadly. You can't do the Type III hardcoat in clear.

The top gun was the one AAGW did work on for me. They added additional back and frontstrap checkering before the new anodizing.

Take a look at Roguard.
Call Robar, tell them what has happened to the frame so far and see if they will do it.

Good suggestion and if I remember correctly, ROBAR is one of the few vendors that remove the anodizing when they re-finish with their product. Apparently, they don't think it's an issue.


Beware of a man whose only pistol is a 1911, he's probably very good with it.
