Yes, I'm being serious. Try it some time, they fit, but that second claw on the magazine release won't let a 1911 magazine with the single notch lock in.

I've got to admit that's some pretty smart thinking from Sig marketing. Cool

Very nice. The P220 was the first Sig that I ever shot.

Time is right to buy these old unwanted gems.

I have mine and just laugh when everyone says they are old and no one wants them.

“Unwanted”—-not true. No way. “Gems”—for sure.
I get more compliments and looks at the range when I have my Gen 3 S&Ws and 90’s era Sigs. I also notice those weapons more when I see them at the range as well. Of course I’m in my mid 50’s and those complimenting them are probably 70.
I started my career in LE working an inner city beat carrying a weathered .38 S&W and no hand held radio. I hated those pistols. Shortly after we switched to the Glock .45. I carried a S&W 5906 as a Detective. To this day, I like the striker fired pistols but love the hammer fired ones. I don’t think it’s a nostalgia thing either. I probably have more striker fired ones at this point if I were to take inventory of what I have. In a CC scenario I would go with a striker fired one. At the range, I just like the hammer fired ones a little more. Gen 3 S&W, 1990s Sigs and a Beretta all day long.
OP..it’s a long winded way of saying…Beautiful gun. Excellent condition and price. Enjoy it.
