Just read about this on another forum. These are great pistols and I hate to see them go.

My favorite “tactical Tupperware” ever. I have enough “spare parts conveniently stored in other guns Wink” to last me though.

Always wanted to try one.
Have some brief range time with a 45 USPc & HK45, but not with the P2k.

Surprised it took this long. I'm guessing the last of their contracts have run their course. I might be the lone detractor but I prefer the P30 series in almost every way.

I do also like the Compact in 9mm.

I don't think the majority of employees at HK realized the P2000 was still in production.

I also preferred the P30, especially the SKS version.

Just checked, the P30 has also been out since 2006, so you could say it took like 20 years to ditch the P2000.

I had one for a while. Shot great, never had a failure, but I didn’t like the slide lock lever on the right side, and I never could get used to the decocker position. Ended up selling it and bought another USPc.

My P2000’s are all LEM. Fantastic shooters, great ergos, I would/do carry these happily. Great guns. The P30 is as well which is why I have a bunch of them too. lol.

I know exactly what you are talking about but all I could think was “oh yeah the P30 with the folding spike bayonet”. Big Grin

I love the P30 as well but the P2K edges it out for me. The Size and how the gun is “melted” as well as I can literally draw and point it eyes closed and be perfectly lined on the sights every time edge out the P30 by a small margin. I can present most pistols and be “on target” or have the dot be there etc. but the P2000 is just PERFECTLY aligned for me every time and there is something comforting about that.

The P30L with a dot is however my bedside gun and it’s a hell on wheels shooter as well.

They have long been a favorite of mine as well.

With the VP9A1 series, I wonder if P30 will get an A1 series with a K variant to shorten the grip slightly, perhaps have slide cut for optics, etc.

Love my P2000, that's a vastly underrated firearm. I also have a couple P2000sk's (one of which worked on by Grayguns which is a really nice carry piece now).

Both my P2000 .40 and my P2000SK 9mm got the lite LEM and Grayguns treatment and are among my favorite HKs that I own. This might be a good opportunity to pick up a P2000 9mm at a good price. With a floor plate swap, the new 15 round VP9K mags will work in the P2000/USPC. The P2000 is a great platform.

If anyone has any factory P239 .357 SIG +1 mag extensions, I need (5) of them. Email in profile thx!

At on point I had 3 P2000s and 2 P2000SKs covering both 357 Sig and 9mm. The 357Sig models have all been sold off, but I continue to hold onto the 9mm P2000 and P2000SK both of which have been tuned by Greyguns. The P2000 has been my longest continuous CCW at about 13 years. Still one of my favorite guns.

Recently got a P2000 9mm V2. Great gun and even better now with 15rd mags. Da/Sa or LEM hammer fired in the same category as a Glock 19. I know the market had trended toward striker fired but I do love the LEM. I wonder if after discontinuing the P2000, the will make a P30 compact?
