HK recently discontinued the P30SK/VP9SK as to not leech sales from the new CC9, I doubt they'll do anything with the P30, it would be interesting if they made optic ready versions of the P30.

Just back from a class with mine and that horribly unshootable double action first shot caused me to drop like 4 rounds….from the X ring to the 9 ring. Roll Eyes

Seriously though it’s just a great do it all gun. As many options as have, as much new tech as I embrace and the more itty bitty stack and a half modern guns I have ……… I always find my way back to my P2000’s and P30’s and they never disappoint even though there are far better options out there.

I am somewhat surprised HK hasn't removed the P2000 series from their website.

I have owned a couple of P2000 pistols over the years. I still own a P2000 V3 in .40. They are nice pistols. They really do a good job soaking up the recoil of the 40s&w.

Where are these mags or are you talking about Vp9 mags? Any issues with them?

Few options.
-Apparently the VP9A1K mags work with a floorplate change. I have no first hand experience but I don’t see a reason they would not work.

-VP9Sk/P30SK 15 round mags do work with a floor plate swap. The thing I have found is if you like the P2000 flat floor plates, they are very thin and those 15 rounds put more pressure on them then I like. No functional issues I just didn’t like it. The thicker pinky grip plate is fine.

-The 15-17 round VP9/P30 conversion kit. This works for the 13 round P2000 mags but see above floor plate info.

-Full size VP9/P30 15/17 round mags work fine but of course extend a little. X-Grip makes an adapter.

-.40 caliber P2000/USPc mags hold 15 rounds of 9mm and function fine in my testing.

That about covers it I think. Me………I’m boring, low speed and high drag so I run stock 13s most of the time or 17’s with the X-Grip.

Yes, cslinger covered the many options. I bought a VP9 A1 K 15rd mag and swapped the floorplate.

Send it to Robert Burke. Night and day DA from stock to worked over.
The triggers on my P30 and P30SK are excellent now. SA is so much better as well and a very crisp break and reset.

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone
