| Can't help with magazines, but I've used TargetSportsUSA.com for ammo and they are showing some 9mm availability. |

Not to sound flippant, but I would have looked at both issues before making the purchases. I typically have 6 mags for every firearm I buy, BEFORE I buy them. And I don't buy anything I don't already have ammo for. Just because a pistol without mags and ammo is useless. Solution to your problem is to hawk the classifieds here, maybe put up a WTB ad for the magazines and ammo. Hawk SG Ammo, Target Sports USA, and some places have been taking backorders, so at a minimum I'd put 1K on backorder. |

| Rhino I bought 500 rounds of 9mm a month ago when I bought the P229. With the 225 A!, I thought I would stock up on more and it's tough to find. SGAMMO has absolutely nothing in 9mm at all. I just checked and TargetSportsUSA.com has their in house rounds at .36 cents per round and with shipping is about what I can buy a few hundred rounds at the LGS I frequent so I will check there as well. I should have bought more a month ago but getting back in to gun ownership has been quite the learning experience and my military training was 40 years ago so live and learn. I won't forget this lesson and I am going to dive deep in learning how to reload going forward.

| Unfortunately between the fact it is out of production and the current unpleasantness I think you will have to go without or open your wallet wide. Like Rhino I’m an 8 to 10 mag per gun person and I either order before or when I buy the gun if I see a supply issue I won’t buy. The good news is you can find more expensive ammo if you are willing to pay and the vast number of magazines last a hella long time and few of us will ever shoot one to destruction.

| on the mags, just be patient, check the usual places , (classifieds here, gunbroker, cdnn including ebay,) every day or so and be ready to jump if they are priced right, when I bought my P6 yrs ago, they only came with one or 2 mags and replacements/extraa were crazy priced, patience paid off and in a few months I had a few more at a more reasonable price, ammo, the same, check ammoseek or gunbot daily if needed

| unless its a life safety issue and then you should buy whatever the price, be patient. Keep your search current and there will be supply. This is extraordinary times. and it requires extraordinary patience.

| As everyone else is saying you’ll just have to wait it out. We don’t have some secret site for ammo. I also like a lot of mags for a gun but that won’t stop me from buying a gun if it’s a good deal. I don’t need another gun, so anything I buy now I can simply wait as long as it takes to find mags at the right price. I bought a P229 last year and it only came with one mag but I paid under $300 for it. I’ve just been picking them up here and there as they come available. I’m up to a dozen or so now. Watch the classifieds here. Mags pop up. Ammo will be back eventually.

| I would not pay $75 for a used mag. They don’t pop up much in the classifieds but they do. You can always make a WTB ad too.

Honestly, unless you are enamored with the P225A1, you might be better off selling it and getting something more supportable? Just another thought. quote: Originally posted by lyman: check ammoseek or gunbot daily if needed
This - as 9MM / 556 were the initial targets of the panic buyers, I was able to flex to purchasing 762x51, 22LR, and 38SPL at pre-panic prices before the rats started eating that up as well. But it can help you find 9MM other calibers pop up in times of need. |

| Yup, the ammo search services extremely useful. Also depressing...in watching how prices have spiked over the past four months.

No, not first time. The 'depression' is from watching the "Creepier Than Dirt" effect play out time and again.
