Maybe ask Glock what the holes do considering they put them on their 34’s and 17L’s ...etc _______________________________________________ Use thumb-size bullets to create fist-size holes.

the 34 Gen 5s no longer have the hole in the slide....the material was removed previously to reduce the slide weight...the gen 5 34s have material moved from other places on the slide

To each his/her own. I've had all the Glocks except for 357 Sig and 45 Gap models. Only thing I did was change out sights. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

I handled a customer's ZEV-built G17 (Gen3) today and I have to admit that I was impressed by the fit and finish of that gun. It was worlds better than the loosey-goosey early ones that I sampled a few years ago. I'm not big on taking a Glock and trying to build them as tight as a 1911, and it's actually kinda odd not to experience the usual slide-to-frame slop, but it's also one of those weirdly satisfying moments one gets when handling a pistol that tight. Except it's supposed to a Glock. Glocks aren't supposed to be that tight. Probably jams a lot. Because it's NOT REALLY a Glock anymore. Ricing a Glock. Hard to resist the urge...

Sights. Extended Slide Release. Grip Plug. That's it. Sometimes a custom slide cover, so I can discern my Tupperware from others. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

If you want to start a custom from scratch instead of filling the spare parts box, Glock Store has a sale on stripped frames. Promo code is “WellThen” for $45 frames and $40 shipping. https://www.glockstore.com/dea...01676932663108238344 Just another day in paradise.

I never modified a Glock since they didn’t actually belong to me. The first issue 35 and its later replacement 22 ran just fine the way they were.

Minimal mods here on G19.4s. Ameriglo Agent Sights, OEM Glock extended slide stop-release, OEM G17 smooth trigger, (-) connector, Talon grips and grip plug.

For real? |
My issued work gun (gen4 31) has Ameriglo Agent sights, extended slidestop lever and and a Magpul Magwell. It came with stock Glock night sights which I moved to one of my spare Glocks. Those are pretty much the only modifications allowed. Guys can add grip stuff but cannot remove material. Not minority enough!

Stock Glocks are more reliable and durable than custom BroBuilds by any maker, and are no less shootable for practical purposes. Dave Sevigny won the IPSC World Shoot in 2002 with a stock G17. And none of you are Dave Sevigny. On the other hand, I have not yet seen one custom Glock make it through our courses without failure. There are solid, demonstrably logical reasons why. Mr. Gray guns, what are the mods to stay away from in order to keep the guns totally reliable? what are the mods most likely NOT to have any effect on reliability ? Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first

Nein! Well, maybe the grip plugs and night sights one day but for now I'm content as they came out of the cases.

I don't see how this would make a difference. Especially for the asking price.

Old gen 2 19 with metal sights- My simple criteria ( can apply to any gun!) 1) does it function reliably? Check 2) does it shoot to point of aim? Check 3) does it provide sufficient accuracy for the task at hand? Check End of efforts to “improve” period Many people want to tinker and play with mods that they perceive are useful or look good Knock yourself out I have been to plenty of ranges where my properly managed stock gun performed as well or better than the pimped out versions. I never believed in mods to any gun that got the job done as is. Trading what is for what might be is never a good idea. I have seen just as many pimped out glocks choke as run, and overall more modified guns fail than those kept stock. I am the poster child for not broken don’t fix

MWC... Please be prepared for others to be skeptical of "upgrades" for an already exceptionally reliable weapon. Guys. If you're going to take this thread as a personal attack on money you've dumped into your gun(s), stay out of it. You've spent money upgrading your Glock(s). If it was worth it to you, OK. You're going to have a hard time convincing people of the effectiveness of these upgrades. Because of your sample size. This thread won't last, if people either make personal attacks, or assume any question or criticism is a personal attack. Glocks have a reputation for superior reliability and durability. If you customized it, you didn't have to. Deal with it. Arc. ______________________________ "Like a bitter weed, I'm a bad seed"- Johnny Cash "I'm a loner, Dottie. This thread reminds me of a guy I knew that had a perfectly good running car, he modified it so many times until it wouldn't run anymore. My Dad use to say " if it's not broke keep screwing around with it until it is"
