I love my model 45, it’s the best one for me.

Agree with the sentiments about the g26. Short of something like bear defense, the g26 will do everything I need a handgun to do except conceal well in a pocket.

Love the 17 for HD and for competition though not quite as nice to carry as the 19 so I’d say it’s a toss up. One could say the 45 is indeed the best of both worlds, but I would pick it 3rd out of the bunch. Long grip and short slide just doesn’t feel as good to me.

I voted 45, I have a 19x, and it’s so well balanced for me. I also have big hands, so I need the full size grip, and the back straps with the beavertail.

I own or have owned every 9mm Glock except the 18 and 17L. I’ve currently got multiple copies of the 45 and 19, a 17, 47, 34 and a 26. My current personal preference is the 45, but if I could only have one it would be the 19. Specifically it would be a gen 5 19 as I prefer the grips without the finger grooves. It’s a compromise gun, but it’s a very good compromise.

The 26 is an excellent little handgun, but since I almost always run mine with an extended floor plate, I might as well have the 19.

As much as I like my G45 if I was to carry it around all day I'd choose G19 of the three. I still think a G19 should be issued to all citizens at birth.

I am with cslinger about the Glock 27. Gives you a lot of versatility.

After owning many Gen 3 Glocks in my lifetime in 9mm, 40SW, and 10mm and Gen 5 in 9mm, I have settled on Gen 5 9mm only.
I currently own a 19x and a 19G5.
I will also buy a 45G5 9mm as well.
I have a lot of G17 magazines and it can use same holsters and weapon lights.
In my opinion and experience the 17,45,and 19X are Duty guns or for home defense.
The smaller Glocks 26G5 or the Slimline models are perfect to carry but the recoil management and shot placement are issues for me.
Therefore I vote for 19G5 as best of all worlds as the Swiss Army Knife of Glocks.
Goldilocks if you will.

For ME:
DA/SA=Sig 9mm or HK P30 LEM 9
Striker fired= Glock 9mm
If it's a .45= 1911
Suppressed= HK in .45
I like anything in 10mm

I really didn’t take into consideration adding a plus 2 to the mags. I guess a 19 would serve the purpose best with the option for higher capacity when needed.

G45 is the winner for me. I could give a rat's ass about printing, and what little it prints is minimal anyway. Besides, nobody's looking. It seems to be quicker on target than my 17, and there's more grip to hang onto than my 19's.

19 for all around. 17 if the world is burning. A full size service pistol would be more suitable in this senerio. As for the G45, I've never been able to see the logic of having a compact slide on a full size frame. The grip is usually the part that hinders concealablity and comfort for CC.

I voted yesterday for the G17; in real life, it would be my G47. Was thinking of SHTF primarily when voting.

For me it just feels and handles best. If I'm carrying OWB the holster being just a hair shorter doesn't catch on my car seat as much and IWB doesn't dig into my hip as much while seated. While I'm sure the actual split times would be almost identical, it also just "feels" faster to me. I've seen no practical difference in hiding that little extra bit of grip based on the way I dress. If I only had one it would be the 19 just for when I have to wear something a little more difficult, but happily I can have as many as I wish.

I certainly wouldn't question anyone who feels differently though. This falls well into the category of pure personal preference.

Of the three listed, my 19.5 MOS would be my choice. Off the list, a 26 or 27 would be the best choice.

I do not currently own any Glock and I never will

However when we are talking about which firearm I would grab if the need arose, the answer is very simple, I would grab the firearm that is closest to me even if it was a Glock

I am another one for the 19, but given the option would probably keep my 26 instead.
