I'm still trying to figure out that odd hole over the chamber.

darkest2000Looks nickel, and no it's not worth fixing it unless you just want to use it to practice your welding skills. Get a replacement slide, part it out, or accept it for what it is and use as a truck/fun gun.
The stippling job on the frame just about removed any remaining value it might've had.

hjs157Based upon the recommendations received in this thread, rather than attempting to salvage the original slide I purchased a period correct replacement. Thank you to all for steering me away from what would have been a more costly repair option. Understanding the pistol has little to no collector interest, any additional work I may choose to perform will be for my own enjoyment. I will update this thread periodically as the project progresses.

Now you've got the makings of a real shooter.

HRKLooks good and makes it ready to use, I'd keep the original slide, and look for a bo-mar rib, who knows one might turn up.
Guessing that middle offset hole was drilled in error.

parabellumQuite handsome. That'll make a damn fine shooter.
As a matter of personal taste, I would prefer to have the hammer and trigger blued, but considering what you started out with, your project turned out fantastic.
