For what I own its my FN 5.7 pistol with a 30rd magazine. Its just so smooth and puts a smile on my face. Coming in at a very close second would be the AR-15 in 9mm that I put together. Doing 20 or 30rd mag dumps are fun. But nothing compares to shooting full auto. Had the pleasure of shooting an AR-15/.223 and a MAC-10/45ACP. Had just purchased my first Colt AR-15/.223 around 1980 and the full auto took all the fun out of shooting a semi auto version. Some years ago I owned a S&W 629 - 4” in 44mag and while it was fun to shoot for the first few rds. After that it wasn't fun anymore and I was seriously concerned about doing permeant damage to my hands and wrist. It was good for clearing everyone else off the range though.

'Fun' as an adjective doesn't quite fit. At least for me. 'Satisfying' is more like it. Hard to really narrow it down but with handguns I suppose it's kind of a four-way horse, I guess. Alien, CZ Custom 75B T-SA, S&W M41 and SIG P210, with a slight nod to the Laugo. Honorable mention to my Gen2 G19, mostly for nostalgia's sake since it was the first gun I ever bought. Second HM goes to my P229R, since it was the first SIG I ever bought and made me something of a believer in the brand. Hate excluding any of my P226 X-Fives, EDC X9 and CZ TS2, though. Long guns it's also a bit of a dogfight as well. Ruger Predator 6.5CR, CZ 455 Hunter 22LR/.17HMR, Steyr AUG, Uberti 1873 R&C .357, Browning SA22, Ruger 10/22 takedown with Magpul stock, DD M4A1/Aero M4 mutt .223 Wylde, Aero M5 6.5CR self-built and PWS Mk114 .223 Wylde. Slightest edge goes to the CZ in 22LR, with the AR-10 6.5CR self-built next. Maybe... The 'other' gun also gets love as well. HK SP5K-PDW, 8" MPX, HK SP5, B&T APC/Glock spec (because the B&T mags aren't that tough or durable, even with the bumper bases), CMMG Banshee 10mm, Mossberg Shockwave 12GA...whew, tough one but the Shockwave is the one that brings the most smiles when NOT shooting 3" Magnum slugs...at least I think it does...maybe...(again with the maybes) Overall it's perhaps the Alien. Or maybe the Shockwave, as long as I don't go over that shell count threshold where that damn nerve in my shooting elbow begins screaming at me. But then there's that M41/CZ 455 combo, perfect .22 set. Glad I don't hafta choose as if my life depended upon it. -MG

Lately my favorite/most fun gun to shoot is my nickel Uberti Remington 1875 in .45 Colt. I rarely shoot my semi-autos other than in matches now. Video for any interested: https://youtu.be/ZgZyLqd5qiQ --------------------------- My hovercraft is full of eels.

I have a 14.5" midlength AR carbine that's just a hoot to plink at 25-50 yards with. It's so smooth and balanced so perfect that nothing else feels so natural to shoot with. Out of my handguns my personal favorite to shoot for sheer pleasure is not my tuned up 1911, nor my Legion P220, or even my CZ competition pistol. It's a M&P 2.0 compact with the 3.6" bbl. It fits my hand like no other and has the most absolutely perfect grip texture to keep it velcro'd into my palm without being too rough to cause any discomfort even after several hundred rounds. Top it off with it's laser accurate and even at speed I can group it like it's on a bench rest.
