Thank you, Legal Beagle. I think I am good now. I appreciate your offer.

92fstech, I am waiting on pins and needles for the mail today! I will let you know!

I have a P226 DAO and it's been one of my favorite to practice on; the DAK is a really nice option, would absolutely encourage the swap. Big Grin

I should have at least a brief one tomorrow or the next day.

I went to the range at lunch. I fired a few mags of duty rounds. Everything fired without any issues whatsoever. I really like the two stage double action trigger pulls. I can use the shorter one with a slightly heavier pull or the longer one with the lighter pull. I fired all rounds from approximately 25 yards shooting at steel targets that were already set up. I am really pleased with this set-up and will carry this alternating with my Glock 26 in the foreseeable future.

I really like carrying the P228 with the bobbed hammer and sans decocker. I may eventually get some Hogue G10 grips specifically for the DAK. I have some checkered ones for the DA/SA and really like them but they eat my shirts up.

Thank you, everyone for all of the help and guidance!

One more follow up. I took my boy out to the range today. I had a Holosun 507C GR (one of the first ones with a 2032 battery on the bottom.) it quit working on the auto mode so Holosun sent me a mailing label to send the old one back and sent me a brand spanking new HE507C GR.

So, I remounted it to our Glock 19.5 MOS to re-sight and took my trusty P228 DAK with us.

I sighted the optic and then he shot the P228. He liked it but not like I do and not like the G19. The G19 is just so easy for him to shoot and make hits. Plus, he’s twelve and mainly been shooting Glocks since he was around five.

I am smitten with this DAK! I just can’t stop dry firing and shooting it!

My son and I go back and forth the same way. But he likes his CZs, I like my Sigs. We currently have a pair of red dot projects going.

I recently finished putting together a Revenant Arms P226 build that I got milled for a Holosun 407k. I absolutely love that gun, and it has monopolized my range time and ammo since I got it. We also got a P09 for my son around the same time, put an MCarbo kit in it and did a polish job, which took the trigger from absolute garbage to pretty spectacular. The slide is currently out getting milled and there's a 407c on the way from DaBigBR.

I'll admit the P09 is pretty nice, and I'm excited to get the dot on it and shoot it, but it can't possibly be as good as my P226. I'm sure it'll give us something to argue about, though, and he'll probably outshoot me with it Big Grin.

Good to hear about another father/son duo. I’ve never shot a CZ.

I told him that I have a lot more experience and appreciate the DAK and Sig for different reasons. But, I can’t argue that the Glock is just plain easier. I’m thinking I do maybe need a performance trigger in the near future for the ol’ 19.
