That was my experience with the G26 (without the superb feeling part). I never intended to carry it, I bought it on a lark to shoot USPSA Divisions that while legal, made no sense to shoot in. Just to do it for giggles. I couldn't hit anything with it. So I changed sights, added a "match" trigger and a "match" barrel and I still shot it just awful. Probably worse than any other gun I've ever owned or tried. lol Well I bought a Hellcat. Brought it home today. We shall see. Kind of killing a few birds with one stone on this "project". (Or "finding new ways to waste lots of money") Feels much more ergonomic than my XDs.45, which I love and shoot very well. (Which doesn't feel great in my hand.} I'm almost worried by how much better the Hellcat feels to me, I have a history of not being able to shoot guns that feel great very well. Odd but true. Test target indicates it shoot shoot pretty well, lets just hope I can.

Put about 175 hiccup free rounds through it today. So far so good. Maybe 40 rounds on paper at 12ish yards feeling it out 40-50 rounds on the plate racks giving it some speed. The rest on the 100 yard steel. If you want to know if your gun will really shoot, blasting things up close isn't going to tell you. Recoil is subjective. So many people said the Hellcat was snappy. I started to wonder. First couple shots I was actually surprised how little "snap" there was. Far less than the XDs .45 It's all what you're used to. Thus far, very happy.
