I can’t speak for the original poster but. Shirts ride up. Get untucked. Bending over makes the butt stick up. Bulgy pickets look like, well they have a gun in them. Going to the bathroom, no need to touch the gun. People giving you a hug, brushing against you…

Very rarely, during the course of the day do one’s pants legs get pulled up over the calf. No one bumps up or presses against your leg unintentionally.

Ankle holster is a pretty discreet way to carry.

I've been using the Renegade Ankle holsters on duty for my J Frames and even a small auto occasionally, since I was first introduced to them in the mid 1990's. They have a variety of open top or thumb strap offerings.

In all those years on the street, never had one issue with them. They will eventually wear out after many years, being just nylon stretch material. For the price, just buy another one. The sheepskin padding on the rear is magical and just makes the entire rig disappear once you're used to wearing it. I'm a big fan of them for ankle carry.

For ME:
DA/SA=Sig 9mm or HK P30 LEM 9
Striker fired= Glock 9mm
If it's a .45= 1911
Suppressed= HK in .45
I like anything in 10mm

There are circumstances that ankle carry is a terrific option. Like any other carry option the key is practice ( like hundreds if not thousands of dry practice draws) definitely one of the lowest profile options.

Back when I lived in a cooler climate, it was one of the ways I most frequently carried. Great when seated ( office work, driving) and a lot faster than you think it is from standing with practice. Also a great option in a grappling on the ground situation
