I have drooled over a Czechmate Parrot and to no avail I can't manage to get my grubby little fingers on one. I bought the Shadow II to try and fill the void, bit to no avail. However, I have a standard Czechmate come available and should have it in my hands this week! I should be able to get a shooting video soon. And YES it will be available at the next Cockatoo Ranch BBQ and Sig Shoot. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Mars_Attacks, ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Very nice! I have a TSO, very similar frame etc. it’s a shooter. I think Armory Craft sells all the bits to change colors and make it a Parrot. Do not send me to a heaven where there are no dogs. Step Up or Stand Aside: Support the Troops ! Expectations are premeditated disappointments.

See there is an inherent problem with guns like this and one reason I, personally, think they are worthless. You see with most normal guns you go to the range, you have crappy range day and you blow it off on that crappy Glock grip, or shitty Smith trigger or snappy VP9 recoil etc. etc. etc. It’s the gun's fault you see and all is right with your personal universe. You sir, can no longer blame the tool....its all on you. Seriously though that ranks pretty high on the gun guy cool gun scale. Enjoy it. Have I mentioned my damn Glock shoots to the left.....damn gun. "Guns are tools. The only weapon ever created was man."

It's even more fantastical than I could imagine!!!!! I thought the Shadow2 was tight. This thing is hand fitted! I can't wait to get it to the range. It has a second threaded barrel with a weighted screw on front sight, extra springs, rear sight and a couple of douche pedals. To use the RDS, bot eyes must be kept open or you will be hunting the dot. Next step is the Parrot conversion. They say the parrot is even better, I don't know how. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

It's polymer for weight. You can get an aluminum body sight. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

It has a generous tang length. (In Thumper Rabbit mode) Serious about crackers

Researched the optic. It's a long relief and you can change the emitter for the size of the dot. You can't change the emitter on a slide wart, however you CAN remove the C-More and put a slide wart on the mount if you want a tiny aperture. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! I have a C More on my match 22. Yes, you can change the module to change the dot size. Most people never do because you know what dot size you want and usually stick with it. It’s a feature that rarely is used unless it breaks. My biggest issue with C More which is why I stick to “warts” now is the battery life sucks. So much so that many guys turn off the optic between stages. I don’t go that far but it isn’t a modern 50,000 hour optic. They also use an odd duck battery that is slightly more difficult to source. And to change the battery you need an Allen wrench. It’s a good dot within those limitations. I won’t get rid of mine but I would never start with one either. Way better options nowadays. I love CZ’z. I have shot a couple Parrots and whatnot. You have yourself quite the shooter there. I wouldn’t mind having one, it’s close to cheating. Lol

Not sure why they'd need to use some weird battery...it looks like you could fit a "D" cell in that thing (ok, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but realistically at least AAs)! For those of you who have used both, how does the sight picture compare to a more modern competition optic like an SRO? And how does the sight track under recoil with an optic mounted to a riser on the frame rather than reciprocating on the slide? Is there a noticeable difference? Either way that whole setup is pretty awesome. It's got a cool 90's vibe and I'll bet it shoots like a dream.

Without going into the safe I would say the SRO window is about the same size. As for tracking under recoil I have no idea since mine is on a Mk III. I think the battery is called a 3N. Or something like that, and it uses 2 I believe. For comp it is a very good optic. I put a 507k using that very small mount you turned me onto and the C More MkIII stays in the safe and the 507k MkIII goes out to play. Cleaner setup, smaller, just more of most things. A Czechmate with a SRO would maybe alleviate the need for a slide racker.

Optic aside, that pistol is sexy as hell. The slide rails are very P210-like. I really need to get into the CZ pistol game. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. It’s nice you have the spare barrel, I don’t believe the most recent models come with the second barrel. Those C-Mores on the Czechmate use a 1/3N battery, oddly enough, the same as in an AimPoint PRO. Battery life is much higher in the AimPoint. I have a couple C-Mores on .22s and they are great especially for brightness. If you decide to change to a slide mount style C-More or other, Cajun Gun Works and CZ Custom both make mounts. The dot will return much faster on a compensated gun with a frame mount optic compared to a slide mounted optic. However, tracking the dot can lead to follow up shots being wide in action shooting like USPSA. Do not send me to a heaven where there are no dogs. Step Up or Stand Aside: Support the Troops ! I have a Checkmate that i had worked over by Stuart at the CZ Custom Shop. Gotta say it’s probably one of the finest pistols I’ve ever shot. It’s ridiculous how good it makes you look. The C-More sight is really good cause you never lose sight of the dot when the pistol recoils. Supposedly CZ is coming out with a new Checkmate! Can’t wait to see it.

Thank you Very little |
Very nice, FGE in Ormond Beach had a Parrot in the showcase, got to fondle it too. They tend to carry a lot of higher end stuff, as well as everyday shooters, it was a wild looking pistol. I would bet if one is available they could get it, you can put your email in for notification once they get one in stock. It's the type of shop that has no qualms about carrying expensive/exclusive firearms. FGE Parrott
