I’ve had an unfired 622 sitting in the safe for years and finally got around to putting a couple rounds through it. What a joy to shoot.

Now the question. Is anyone running a suppressor on theirs? I have been looking for a new 22/45, but for $35 I can get the adapter to run a suppressor on the 622. After watching some videos, they look like fun. My only concern would be not having adjustable sights.

I had the blued version 422 and it worked great. Both with and without a can, super reliable and adequacy in accuracy. Never needed to adjust the sights ( mine did have adjustable sights) got another supressor host for a song and sold it for about twice what I paid

I’ve had a couple of 422s and the all-stainless 2206 over the years. Excellent guns and, while I’ve read of their serving as a fine suppressor host, I never acted on that.

Yes, I've got a 622 I bought in the early 90's when I turned 21 and a slightly later 422, both equipped with the thread adaptor for a suppressor. These pistols are some of the best for suppressors, with the lower bore allowing non obstructed sight pictures that some guns have. They have been a 100% joy to shoot suppressed and remain my favorites.

If you don't have enough, I'd suggest scraping up a few extra factory mags before the next "ban" hits and they go north of $50 when found, if found like years back.

Next up will be the shorty 2213, so I can suppress that.

I owned a 422 and regret foolishly selling it, along with several mags. I just thought it was an odd design at the time. Years later I started becoming interested in a model 41 target gun and realized they are the same design and use the same mags. The *22 models are like a model 41 "light".
I've never owned a suppressor but I can see how one would make a nice host.

That video is what made me want to get the adapter. I’m hoping to get it in the next couple weeks.

Keep checking eBay and Gunbroker for a replacement slide with an adjustable sight...might be a cheap way to get that on your pistol.

Love love love the 422/622 line. I have 3 of these and a 2214. Actually had the front milled for a dawson front sight on all 3. Makes a world of difference.

The pistol is awesome suppressed as it keeps the sight. The only pistol presently trumping that gun suppressed is the P322 with 20 rounds and a red dot.

Looks like my adapter should be here on Thursday. Looking forward to getting this together.

Other than magazine commonalities the designs of the 422 series and 41 are completely different no comparing the two at all, except they are both great guns

One based on the Walther Olympia. One based on the Bergman Bayard via the S&W Escort.

The mount came in today. Excellent fit and finish. The install was a breeze.


Everything functioned as it should, but it is shooting 3-4” inches high now. I only shot it with my suppressor on it though.

Big fan of the 2206, love mine… runs like a sewing machine no hiccups whatsoever.

Only issue is, if I get a dud, have to remove cartridge with a pen knife.

My first .22 pistol was a 622. It was light as can be, but no muzzle flip due to the low bore height.
