Love Joe and I'm subscribed to JRE on YouTube.
Way off topic but Taran seems like a pedo to me. He's had a lot of young girls there to train including an underage Tori Nanaka. Kinda gives me the creeps.

I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

Regarding Joe's vids, you actually are missing something IMO. There are hundreds (getting close to thousands I think) of videos he's put up on youtube on just about anything you can imagine.

He's not one of the bad guys we tend to talk about around here.

Taran seems like a creepy motherfucker. On the other hand he found a way to make a ton of money and play with guns for a living and it’s all legal. Either way as much as I like beautiful women I think it is cringy as fuck to have a gaggle of “cheerleaders” fawning over famous people as they shoot.

Rogan can shoot.

So it’s not just me. Smile.

I don’t know the guy, he might be the greatest dude on planet earth and I certainly have no issues with guns and hot women but he does give me that creepy dude vibe.

Creepy dude vibe is not something you should aim for. It is not just you.

You mean pulling a trigger real fast while barely landing low D shots on first two targets? Likely after a warm-up, considering a rig on his hip? While walking between different shooting positions with finger on a 2 lbs trigger? Does this make me a hater?

So I made the mistake of researching that. WTF?!? I've never been a Taran Butler fan...the cringy cheerleader thing puts me off, and his products are unnecessarily gaudy. He's always come across as a self-serving creep. But the short portion of that video that I got through before turning it off takes him straight to child-predator status.

No, it just makes you a tool. He was doing pretty quick split pairs and if you looked at the target they were right next to each other. It was pretty decent shooting. I am sure you are much better but everybody is on the internet, so there is that.

(I rewatched. His first 2 targets were meh, then he moved and the next string of silhouettes he nailed the controlled pairs. So yes I think that after picking up a brand new gun his first couple shots were nothing special and then he warmed up to it. I think he can shoot.)

Doesn't sound like controlled pairs to me. You missed two C hits on a 5 yards target.
This is called aspirational shooting. When a B class aspires to shoot like a GM but really can't.

^^ Whatever... Roll Eyes
He just looked like a guy having fun with a new toy. It wasn't a competition.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Dude we should be celebrating anybody out having fun shooting safely/responsibly. Joe can obviously shoot. Is he some competitive monster probably not. Can some folks here shoot circles around him? I dunno, probably. I mean I sure as shit probably wouldn’t but I am sure there are lots of folks here who could, but who cares. Dude’s having fun banging rounds down range with a wicked cool toy and that’s friggin awesome in my book.

Sometimes it’s not all about competition. Sometimes it’s not about training for the worst day in your life. Sometimes it’s about turning money into noise and giggling about it and if you’ve lost the giggle or never had it then I’m not saying your wrong but I do feel bad that you are missing out.

Take care, shoot safe, HAVE SOME FUN! Smile

Then maybe you could say something about finger off when moving with a weapon.

I've no problem with peeps having fun. I do get annoyed by this facebook culture when everything you do gets recorded and shown to the world to cheer. Depending on my mood, I could let it go or I could poke at them. Rogan's fanbois choir alone seemed like a good enough reason to poke. Now it is out my system, all is good, thanks Joe.

I have one on order. I have almost all of the John Wick firearms, at least the ones I'm allowed to have. The STI 2011 used in John Wick 3 is my favorite. Absolute beauty of a gun. Taran Tactical does good work and these guns tend to to go up or at least hold their value.

Taran’s guns are out of my price range and the girls are out of my league, but I don’t see any reason why people who can afford it shouldn’t enjoy the finer things in life.

Funny thing is, I just watched a Rogan clip earlier today in which he challenges a watch collector about how expensive watches don't tell time any better than a cheaper watch, and everything beyond a certain price point is all just a gimmick/status symbol/complication-for-the-sake-of-complication, rather than a performance improvement.
Must be an old clip because he has come over to the dark side and now "gets it" as far as enjoying mechanical watches.

As David W said he had a guest I believe was Lex Friedman (sp) on who asked Joe about his watch and Joe handed it to him to check out. Lex said he liked this one and Joe said "you can keep it". I think Joe likes that class of watches as I've seen him with Rolex and Panarai before but he thinks it's ridiculous to spend $100k on one even if he could easily afford it.

I've a feeling that all of them, including these new Vipers, are made by STI.
