I am pretty sure I know the answer, but I just want to be 100% as I have a P229 ASE 9mm coming to me...it uses the 229-1 mags, correct? I have a bunch of 228/229 mags, but want to make sure I have a few of the correct ones for carry purposes. Thanks

Thanks. I have heard that the old mags will work but they "rattle" and are loose, so some would not trust them reliably for self-defense purposes. Anyway, any excuse to add more mags to the stable is fine by me.

That is correct. But in about 5k of rounds I’ve never had a malfunction at the range using the older rattling mags with fmj range ammo. I would be interested in hearing if anyone else has?
