Exxing out portions of the serial numbers defeats the purpose of the list.
I really wish members would cease this old practice. It serves no practical purpose. If someone can provide a valid reason for the need to do this, I'd like to hear it.

I have not done that in the past, but I thought I was following current convention. If you want numbers, I'm fine with that.
I have two P220s that are two tone with slide and all controls stainless or nickel. They really look and feel like Robar NP3 and I bought them around Phoenix.
Serials are:
G 297 899 G 262 369
I believe they're 1999 and 1996, respectively. But is there a way to see if they were factory two tone, SS, nickel or came in black and were refinished? Thanks.
