Not that we're anywhere near big enough to be statistically significant, but pretty much every agency in our county is on the P320, and I know of a lot of others regionally who are as well. It started with agencies that had traditionally carried Sigs, but lately I starting to see former Glock agencies switching to it as well. The M400 is also becoming quite popular, as well as the P365 as an issued BUG.

It depends on the agency. Some make there officers buy their own guns, some buy the guns and issue them. I've heard of agencies switching guns, and replacing all of them in one fell swoop.

A few militaries have adopted it, starting with the US, and including Canada, Australia and some smaller ones. It seems to be doing well in the international police market, including some national police forces. Domestically several major federal, state, and municipal police forces have adopted it. These include ICE, Dallas PD, Chicago PD, Tampa PD, Milwaukee PD, State Police in NV, DE, HI, OK, and VA. Add a good number of county Sheriff's departments. This adds up to a lot of guns. I'd say the institutional market is probably pushing million unit if it hasn't cracked it already.

You just aren't guessing hard enough. Big Grin

Without taking a position on the numbers being estimated, it is important to recognize that there is a difference between an agency authorizing a gun and issuing a gun to the whole department. My recollection of Chicago PD, for example, is that they have a list officers can buy from.[/QUOTE]
