I have always been against the use of shoulder holsters for a CCW. Muzzle sweeping being the prime reason.
Now that I'm older and retired I find myself wearing sweet pants all the time.
I have been wearing a belt with a OWB holster when I carry, under a coat or long loose shirt over my sweet pants. This set-up works but is not convenient if going to the washroom ( older members can appreciate this problem).

I have decided to try a shoulder holster.I prefer a VERTICAL holster. I carry a Sig P220ST, CZ SPO1, or a Kahr CW45,for a CCW.

Any suggestions on a holster manufacturer?

Been using one of these for years. Very comfortable and not all that slow once you learn the technique.

For the smaller guns, perhaps a belly band style holster would work.

I own a few Galco classic lite shoulder holders. Work very well with smaller guns.

Another Galco Classic Lite user here. Works well for me. I have an ARES Tactical vertical rig made from Kydex for my 1911 that works well.
If you want to save some $$$, type "Bianchi Holster" into the search box on EBay. Lots of used X15s there. I have gotten some great deals on vintage leather on EBay.

I have a couple of the “new” Galco vertical holster systems in order. No idea when they will arrive. I’ll try to post a review after I get them and get them sized/setup.

These holsters are the best deal in town! In fact, I just ordered 2 more; one for my Sig P239 and my SA Range Officer 4".

They usually arrive in about 3 to 4 days....

Yes please, I’ve been looking for some sweet pants to go with a bitchin’ sweater my wife gave me.

On a more serious note, I’ve never understood the concern about a horizontal holster and the idea of “sweeping” people. I’ve always considered sweeping as when someone has drawn or is holding a gun and is not cautious of where the muzzle is pointed.

A holstered gun? Not sweeping as far as I am concerned. Gun in a safe holster and not being fingered isn’t going to just go off.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I’ve been doing the same for a long time.
Anyone who can tolerate appendix carry while spending a lot of time in a modern small car gets a tip of my hat- (I can’t do it)-
And prefer vertical designs when possible. 1911, P239, P220 and others. In a car with family didn't usually care for horizontal as my kids were in back seats.
With a properly set up vertical shoulder holster you can carry a full-size 1911 and few without game can tell (unless you’re in the Keys of FL in summer). (My Israeli friends always say body language gives away anyone carrying- but I digress).
Obviously not for every occasion, but you use the best tool...

A couple that caught my eye, Ares Kydex Vertical, and FIST #70.
I don't like thumb snaps on a CCW holster.
I like the FIST holster because you don't have to draw the gun straight up to clear the holster.

I have had an X-15 for years and can carry N frames or 1911's in it. I am partial now to the horizontal Galco Miami classic styles.

My dad has always wanted one for his Beretta 92 so last week I ordered a Galco Miami Classic for his Christmas present. I've never had one so if I like his I may order something for my CCW.

Thanks for the names of some other options.
