I also have 1911s, mostly Springfield and my EDC lately has been my Range officer champion in 45. I was looking to get a firearm with more magazine capacity and my Local gun shop suggested the P320 compact. Like I said, not a fan of Striker fired handguns. The P320 has changed my mind about Striker fired handguns. I have about 600 rounds through the gun now. It cycles flawlessly no matter what 9mm ammo I feed it. Historically I have always shot low and left with Striker fired handguns. Not anymore. This is a very accurate firearm. At 15 yards I'm shooting the center out of the target and at 25 yards I'm on steel and the dueling tree. Glad I picked up the P320.
Congratulations on your purchase. Striker-fired guns have come a long way. Glad you found one you enjoy. |

| I'm pretty much the same, not a fan of striker fired but I decided to take the plunge a few years back and ordered a P320c with the Romeo sight. As I've posted more than once... I had an 'expert' gun smith with a big Glock tattoo explain to me how the pistol could never be made accurate... the next day I shot a perfect score on a qualifying test... did it again this past December.... I choose not to carry a striker fired pistol but this one is the tops in competition and for just showing off.
