Holsters...the struggle is real...
Standing at the counter in the LGS and thinking "hey, I think I got a holster at home that fits that"!

I got so fed up with it that I bought some kydex sheets off of Amazon, a $10 toaster oven from Goodwill, and some belt clips and figured out how to make my own. They're not pretty, but they retain the gun, are customized to my personal preferences, and $5-$10 sure beats $50-$75 extra every time I buy a new handgun.

I've lucked out. While I do have a couple totes of holsters that accumulated over the decades, I've found what works best for me. When I get a new gun I just order the correct variant of what I always get, a leather OWB Avenger version from TT Gunleather. Having the same launchpad, so to speak, for everything sets a commonality that has to have aided my draw and presentation, at least psychologically.

...And don't get me started on the amount of duty and plainclothes crap I've accumulated, like mag carriers, flashlight holders, Sam Browne belts, etc.

I found a holster a couple of weeks ago, for a gun I don't even have any more. Roll Eyes

I need a Ruger GP 100 holster.
And I just broke my wonderful XD i.w.b. kydex after 17 years.

(If it will help you out in anyway)

Tell your wife you're saving money by having them. If I sell or give away a holster for a gun I no longer have, it's seems that invariably I end up buying another once the holster is gone.
