AllenInARGot my wood from Cherokee Hills
Bob Adkison is a great guy to do business with. Got my textured wood grips for my non-textured Commanders.
The slide for the Kimber is off at CCR getting that 'Dusk' finish. I think it'll look good with the reddish desert ironwood. And the stippling is surprisingly grippy!
The Ruger (contrary it seems to everyone else LOL) gets the maple with a more traditional stipple.

LoswsmithI love the grips on the Commander as the stippling follows the grain of the wood.

just1tymBeautiful wood, great looking figure. I went a little overboard back when purchasing woods for grips. I'd purchase the wood and just send it to a craftsman like Brian Challis or Sarge and they would carve them up into pairs for me. I have a nice pair of desert ironwoods someplace around here that Brian carved with nice two tone color. Here's my blocks that still need to be carved. Mostly amboyna burls.

AllenInARIt's an addiction, that's for sure. LOL Sarge has two pairs in the works for me. One is some gorgeous koa. Can't wait to get those.

SigFanOh great, another dragon to chase. Why did you have to post pics of those beautiful grips? Seriously, though, those are beautiful grips!

In the past he's done some fantastic work for me. Here's one project. I supplied him with the maple burl and a 2-tone Wilson medallion. The finished grips came out great.
