Yeah I've been meaning to pick up a 34.5 for a while now so this caught me by surprise too and sent me on an internet search to verify. I THINK from what I'm seeing the 34.5 is sticking around and it's just the adjustable sight version that's done for. I hope that's the case.

I didn't think I'd ever see them discontinue the G22. It's not wholly surprising, given that everyone has ditched .40 in the last decade or so, but still.

Ah, that makes more sense.

Looks like there's the PA3430103MOS which is a Gen 5 G34 that has the standard Glock fixed rear sight, but there's also the PA343S103MOS with the adjustable rear sight like they had used on prior generation G34s (which is apparently the Gen 5 G34 model that's being discontinued).

The adjustable rear sight looks goofy on the MOS Gen 5 anyway, since they had to move the rear dovetail back a bit on the MOS models to accommodate the optic cutout. So now the adjustable rear hangs off the back of the slide of that model of G34.

Does anyone else find it interesting that the G49 is not only being discontinued, it’s also the only model so far that was never (at least to my knowledge) on Glock’s website in the first place?

California Assembly Bill 1127 (AB 1127), recently passed through the state's Judiciary Committee. Dubbed the “Glock ban,” the bill would prohibit the sale of firearms in California that could potentially accept automatic fire converter devices—specifically targeting Glocks and similar handguns. These devices are already illegal under federal and state law, but the bill aims to preemptively ban any firearm capable of being modified with them.

The bill passed quickly, gaining significant support in the legislature and from gun control advocacy groups like Everytown for Gun Safety. Only two organizations—Gun Owners of California and Gun Owners of America—spoke in opposition. Critics argue the bill:

Targets law-abiding gun owners instead of criminals,
Attempts to make already-illegal behavior more illegal,
Is likely unconstitutional based on multiple Supreme Court rulings (e.g., Heller, McDonald, Bruen),
May lead to lawsuits costing California taxpayers.
Despite the opposition, AB 1127 passed the vote overwhelmingly, and the video encourages viewers to voice their opposition before it moves further. The host warns that California's actions often set a precedent for other states.

Maybe this is why Glock is discontinuing there GLOCK CA Compliant models?

I don’t think this is the case because they’re not discontinuing all Gen 3 Glocks (ie keeping the 9mm versions to sell in CA, at least my understanding of why Gen 3 still exists is partly because the CA market). I hope to pick up a G29 before they’re gone. Hopefully Glock can figure out how to make a couple CA compliant Gen 6ers whenever that day comes, if it’s while the microstamping bullshit is not in effect in CA.

That’s really a shame. I know that companies are in business to sell their products. I really “got into” shooting after the AWB. I was like a kid in a candy shop. D/A, SA, striker, steel frame, alloy frame, polymer frame, 9, 40, 357, 45. It seemed like there were so many options to choose from, and did I ever take advantage of that!!

While there are still options, it seems like you can have anything you want, as long as it’s polymer and 9.

Just somewhat upsetting.

Let’s just hope the ammo manufacturers will still make all the different calibers

If Glock is only going to make optics-ready pistols (excluding the few Gen3 still in production of course) in the future, I wouldn’t mind if they exclusively went with COA.

Nice. It makes sense. We were kind of told sorta that the G17 is not being focused on much by Glock at this time. Focus on G45’s and G47’s. Looking at LE distributors to buy additional Gen5 MOS G17’s for the department this appears to be true.

Are Sig 40 S&W pistols heading towards the same fate?

SIG just recently dropped all .40 S&W and .357 SIG barrels from their website. They discontinued complete pistols in both of those calibers a while ago now.

Shameless plug here for the folks in the Phoenix area.

I am an FFL and one of my wholesalers claims to have bought up a ton of the discontinued models. If you're looking for one, give me a shout and I'll see what I can do.

the .357 sig glocks are not comfortable to shoot compared to the 229 in.357 sig. allot of those models have lost their appeal, glock needs to come out with something that's high capacity and a heck of a lot smaller. now that you can get a 365 that holds 21 rounds and is fun to shoot pretty tough to even consider glock for me anyway.

Glock 29SF is a terrific 10mm wood cary rain or shine. Guess not enough interest to keep making it.

Agreed, re: Glocks in .357 Sig (or .40 for that matter) are not pleasant/soft shooting. I still prefer the "full sized" grip to any micro 9 in the 365/shield plus class. And don't find them any more difficult to conceal. Even the slimline Glocks will bite me if I'm not paying attention to my grip.

All of the discontinued models combined count for only 8% of Glock's total sales.....

Interesting. Can you confirm that the Gen 3 G34 is discontinued altogether, or is there a fixed rear sight version to remain in production?

The information I posted was gathered from an AI model. The first response it gave omitted pistols I knew to be discontinued, so I asked it again for clarification, and that's when it provided to me what appears to be a complete list, but the G34 response appears to be incomplete when compared with the other data provided.

While it doesn't appear there's a need for urgency, this did get me actively shopping for a Gen5 34 again and low and behold guns.com has them on sale right now for $599.99 which is the best deal I've ever seen for 34.5 NIB. Usually try to deal locally and have never used guns.com before so hopefully it's a smooth transaction but at that price I couldn't resist. Not sure what kind of sights it's going to have, looks like it may be the discontinued adjustable model, but I'll be swapping them regardless so that doesn't really matter.

Anyway, didn't mean to derail the thread a little, but wanted to pass this deal along incase anyone else was actively looking.

Thank you. At least- for now- the Gen 3 17, 19 and 26 are still in production. Classic pistols.

All versions of the G29 gone. That's a shame. I'm glad I have my G29SF
