I really like the Holosun multi-reticle sights. The 65 MOA ring is great, easy to pick up. I have 503.

Sig Romeo 5 is a tremendous value. I have them on two rifles and they've been 100% reliable.

Holosun 403B or 403R would be my budget picks

Another vote for the Sig Romeo 5. I have one on my AR pistol, I'm very happy with it. It's been 100% Hater of fun since 2001!

I too like my sig Romeo 5, also have a 503 and even though I like the eyebox, I haven't find it to reliably shake awake as well as the Romeo

I have a Vortex SPARC AR on my AR pistol. I'm normally an Aimpoint/Trijicon snob, but these little Vortex red dot sights work great for so much less. "Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying who shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, here am I, send me."

Primary Arms or Vortex are your best option for a sub-$250 red dot.

Hmmm! Looked at the SIG Romeo5. Had not looked at the Vortex SPARC though. Will take a look. Thank you for the input.

Go ahead punk, make my day |
SIG Romeo 5, Vortex Sparc, Primary Arms. They are all pretty much the same variations on a theme (and look awful similar sometimes) - pick the one you want and roll out. I have one standard Romeo 5 on a 9MM AR SBR - about the only thing that kinda sucks is the mount and I changed it out with a used ADM QD mount. I also bought from Brownells and with their "Forever Warranty", I'm doubly covered if SIG goes all screwy.

So I just jumped over to Optics Planet and the . . . SIG Romeo5, Vortex Sparc AR II, and Primary Arms Micro Dot model #810001 . . . all look like good contenders.

And if you order them from OP you can have them in 2022 “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

Think hard, then think twice. Search for the recent Optics Planet thread! ========================================== Just my 2¢ ____________________________ Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right ♫♫♫

I too am very impressed with the SIG Romeo5. Put one on my wife’s AR last week and it is impressive. I’d buy another without hesitation. ________________ tempus edax rerum

I've had the Romeo5 and am putting a Romeo5 Predator on my AR9 build. I have it on an ADM QD mount and was going to use it on another AR but then the pistol thing kinda happened. I have astigmatism and was pretty stoked that the green dot and triangle showed up better for me over the red dot.

I’ve been very happy with Burris’ FastFire 3 on my 7.5” 5.56mm and 5” 9mm SBRs. Evaluating volume of fire vs. shot placement effectiveness.
