I was wondering when someone was going to post about these. It’s cool that they are branching out but way too expensive for what it is. A cheaper 22 to go along with the lever gun would be kinda neat.

And it's surprising that Henry did not make an SAA type revolver as a companion piece to their lever guns.

Hate to be critical, but it looks like the Big Boy forgot to put his pants on.

No idea what market niche they were looking at.

This really surprises me too. I am not sure what they are going for here. Maybe it’s a crazy ergonomic design that will feel amazing in my hand or something? I am interested to see how the birds-head grip version feels despite its ugly looks.

A SAA clone that could be paired with their lever action guns for CAS would be the more logical approach in my mind. It sure seems to me like the double action .357 market is pretty well saturated. You can get an EAA for a few hundred or a Colt for a couple thousand and everything in between.

Henry is a very pro American company that is also unapologetically pro-Trump so I’ll give them a pass. I own several of their lever action rifles and I’m very happy with them all so I know they can build good guns. I can’t imagine owning one of these but I’ll never say never.

I kinda like the overall product of the birdshead grip. The gunfighter grip combo looks terrible.

If it has a tuned Python DA, I could be persuaded. Likely not.

They should have released it on April 1st. LOL.
I would take a Ruger, Colt, or hillary hole Smith over that.

Kinda wondering at that MSRP just what customer base they are targeting.

I am sure they could have made it uglier, but it is plenty ugly as it is.

If you’re going to call it a big boy let’s chamber it in something besides .357

How about 45-70? And make it not as ugly

I got to fondle one Saturday at the NRAAM. It was pretty cool. I'm not sure about the lack of an ejector shroud/lug, and I think it's priced just a little shy of twice what it ought to be, but I do like the birdshead version.

generally speaking, and not wanting to ruffle feathers, but Henry's marketing dept is damn good,
the product, generally speaking, is not,

but I am a dealer and don't care for them, (sent too many back for issues,,,,)

however, at $800 MSRP. which means they will be on the street for what,, &700?

for $700 I can buy a used Smith or Colt 38 special and some ammo, and have a better revolver,

I hear you, but it would still be ugly and would therefore (IMHO) still have a hard time competing with other SAAs already on the market.

All the less than glowing comments on them has now made me paradoxically want one. Particularly the birds head model. Probably a bad idea no doubt, but I would be lying if I didn’t say I have some temptation.
