I have a P322 but I’m tempted to pick up a G44 also. I’m wondering how reliable the higher capacity Promag magazines are? Anyone use them? Thanks again guys

I sometimes help out the armorer at our local shooting school. I see a lot more Glock 44s with issues than Sig 322s. Not scientific, just my experience....fwiw. Lots of failures to feed or eject.

I've got two of the 18-rd Promags. I didn't expect much because of the bad rep that Promag seems to have.... Which was dumb, because I've had no practical experience with Promag products....mostly because of the bad rep that Promag seems to have.

Mine have been great. I've had one FTF when I was deliberately careless when loading the mag. I find them easier to load to capacity without setting up a possible "rim lock" than the P322 I owned.

Since capacity is not, with me, a critical issue in a .22LR, I'd stick with OEM. I've had horrible experiences with Pro-Mag. Of course, I often shoot an 8 round 22LR revolver, YMMV. I can heartily endorse the Key-Tec P-17, which functions flawlessly for me, and was dirt cheap. It may not meet your needs, though.

I looked at the Glock 44 prior to buying my P322. It’s a nice gun. A buddy I go to the range with shoots it all the time. Like any .22 it has its misfires. More than I have with the P322 but not unbearable. For a range gun, it’s no problem. If you can spare the money try the non OEM magazine. If it’s junk, oh well. If it’s a Defense gun it would be a different story.
I accidentally bought a few of the larger capacity OEMs for the P322 and they have a few more issues than the ones that came with the pistol.

Promag mags are very hit or miss but mostly miss, from my experiences. Like others have said, for range use, they might be ok and being that it is a .22 and unless you are using it for self defense, I would stick with factory.
