Do---or do not.
There is no try.

Out of the thousands of rounds of bulk .223 ammunition I've bought, I got one that's the brass casing and primer without the bullet and gunpowder.

I don't reload, so---what's the best way to get rid of it---take it to my local range so they can reload it and use it?

You can give it to someone that reloads .223. You can put a few drops of oil in it to inert the primer and chuck it. You can put it in your rifle and pop the primer with a press of the trigger.

Recommend third option.

If I were your friend that reloads I would do that anyway and re-prime it because I'm a control freak about my reloads. Save me the trouble. Smile
