Rem UMC is the only ammo to ever cause a malfunction in my Beretta 92 (failure to fire). Three times out of a 100 round box. That was over a decade ago and I haven't bought any since.

I read a while back in one of the hand gun magazines(don't remember which one)that Remington had contracted with Aquila to make ammo for them when Obama bought millions of rounds for unarmed government agencies to keep us from buying it. That might explain the funny smell and lack of quality since it is coming out of Mexico. They don't seem to produce the quality ammo that other countries do.
