Anyone have a favorite round for coyotes. Have 140gr for deer but thinking of using the rifle for something with a long season and lots of coyotes around. U.S. Army 11F4P Vietnam 69-70 NRA Life Member

Don't know about 6.5, but .300 Winmag fairly well resolves the problem.

It may depend on if you or a buddy would save the hide, $25-30 last I looked, Winter Prime. Other than that most anything will do. To keep it simple, deer hunting loads are fine. If I just want to put a yote down, the 243 is the choice. Most often it comes down to what’s in my hands. The past few months two were shot in the backyard, 17 HMR and a 6.5x55 Swede.
