I shoot a lot of Blazer aluminum and have over the years. Last week I was shooting 9mm. I fired 13 rounds out of my 228, walked back to the bench, laid the gun down and walked back out to pick up the empties.

They were still very hot. Granted it was a sunny day, but I am talking hot. I suspect the aluminum must hold the heat different than brass.
