Speer was awarded a contract earlier this month with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) for up to 120 million rounds of 124-grain, 9 mm Gold Dot Duty ammunition. The SOW specified a bullet weight from 124-147 grain. I wonder why 124 gr. was selected.

The statement of work said +P or std velocity. Since the article did not mention +P, this contract appears to be for std velocity, regular barrel, 23618:

Does Speer have plants in addition to Lewiston ID? Or will that facility just run close to 24/7 for w while?
