December 27, 2017 Speer was awarded a contract earlier this month with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) for up to 120 million rounds of 124-grain, 9 mm Gold Dot Duty ammunition. First delivery takes place in 2018, according to the agreement, and it will be supplied to multiple DHS law enforcement components and other federal agencies for up to a five-year period. https://www.shootingillustrate...urity-ammo-contract/ Link Fixed The SOW specified a bullet weight from 124-147 grain. I wonder why 124 gr. was selected. If you want to read the performance criteria and testing to be used for evaluating the ammo, click the following to download a pdf of the Statement of Work https://www.fbo.gov/utils/view...84a7953733b167960607This message has been edited. Your link did not work, this did: https://www.shootingillustrate...urity-ammo-contract/ The statement of work said +P or std velocity. Since the article did not mention +P, this contract appears to be for std velocity, regular barrel, 23618: https://www.midwayusa.com/prod...acketed-hollow-point

Solid choice. Probably the best blend of terminal performance across the spectrum, reliability and recoil. ----------------------------- Proverbs 27:17 - As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
