"Winchester M1 Garand is a 30-06 cartridge loaded to the original specifications of M2 ball, the ammunition for which the M1 Garand was designed. Winchester continues its legendary excellence with this load recipe that closely replicates the pressure and velocity of the original Ball M2 cartridge. This ammunition is reccomended (sic) for use in legacy M1 Garand rifles to reduce the risk of damage to the operating rod."

Excellent news. Anything that helps keep these old warhorses in use at a reasonable price is a good thing.
M1 Garands are hands down my favorite rifles. I was lucky enough to stack a decent stockpile of surplus USGI, Greek, and Norwegian M2 Ball ammo via the CMP back in the 2000s and early 2010s, back when it was still reasonably priced and readily available. But not everyone was so fortunate.
