This is my new, overbuilt suppressor. It's made by Shaw Armament. ***Note: Thunder Cans is a different company than Thunder Beast. It has a titanium tube and end caps. The baffles are 17-4 PH stainless and are coated in titanium nitride (TiN). It uses K-baffles instead of the standard cups. The finish, quality, attention to detail and craftsmanship are excellent. This suppressor will go toe-to-toe with any suppressor on the market. I did a lot of research before buying this suppressor. I'm glad that I spent that time looking at the industry and learning the industry norms. Shaw Armament doesn't advertise. In this pictures, I'm trying to show one of the internal ports. Roger

I don't think we need two posts about the same rimfire suppressor. And while I'm certainly happy for you on your new purchase, and I'm sure it will be great as all .22 cans are fun and work well. I am unclear why you think its "overbuilt". Looks more or less like my DA mask or any of the other half a dozen rimfire cans that I have. And are there any 3rd party reviews of performance that show benefits in some area? “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

4.9oz (if that’s the right model) vs the Mask 6.6oz. If this is overbuilt, then my Mask is a tank. Sweet. While it looks pretty nice, it seems like a lot of marketing. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I think the quoted weight is 5.2 oz. Since it’s made of the same stuff as the mask there would seem to be a lot less material in the thundercan to do that. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

This is the suppressor weight. The Dead Air Mask is an excellent can. It is the primary competitor to this can. The big difference between the two companies is in the amount of money spent on advertising. Thunder Cans doesn't pay to advertise. Roger

essentially a mask in weight. and in the ballpark of all the other good ones. So my question was why you think its overbuilt? its not, its 'normal' in construction for the type of can it is and approved calibers etc. It might be less expensive which is what you imply (I didn't look) and a good deal on cost but its not overbuilt. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

hrcjon, this is my last post to you about this suppressor. It is overbuilt for it's intended purpose. The Dead Air Mask and Thunder Can Mini-Beast Xtreme are at the top of the game for rimfire cans. hrcjon, be happy that we both have high quality cans and enjoy similar freedoms. We can both agree on that. Cheers Mate! Roger

Six baffles.
People, I'm not saying that the Dead Air Mask is not a good can. Some of these guys are defending Dead Air because they have one. It's a good can. Sigfourme, what do you want? Do you want to do a sound measurement test of your can and mine? Wow! I am shocked at the people that won't keep cruising along without putting something down. Dead Air Mask - Raw stainless baffles Thunder Can Mini-Beast Xtreme - Titanium Nitrided coated baffles The coating is the reason I chose Thunder Can instead of Dead Air Mask. They're both stellar cans. Roger
