What is the best way to remove the nut that threads into the breech end of the Spectre II? I just ordered a Delta tool from Midway. There should be a special socket that firmly grips the nut. The image is shown from this site. https://ncsilencer.blogspot.co...spectre-ii-22lr.html This is the nut that I'm having problems with. Roger

do you not have the tool they provide? i’d probably try a pin wrench as my first alternative. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

No sir. I ordered one from MidwayUSA. Fortunately, I was able to loosen the nut by putting it into my shop vise. I gently clamped the nut because the contact points are in a "Y" shape. There are nine points on this nut, so there are no parallel sides. It was very tight, but did break free. The suppressor baffles are soaking in Purple Power overnight. Roger

OK so you knew there was a correct tool. You ordered one. So what exactly are you asking on this post. I'm a bit lost. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

HRCJon, when I posted I did not know about the correct tool. I was hoping for help with the stuck end cap. I ended up using my bench vise to clamp the end cap. The tool arrived after I solved the problem. The tool is now stored and ready for the next cleaning session. Roger
