For what muzzle device? Adapters are made for specific muzzle devices.

Mars, the only thing to check, myself not having handled that particular silencer, is the depth of the initial chamber. It may necessitate the use of the shorter muzzle devices.

KSGM is spot on. That's an issue I've run into several times now, and in fact, why I've decided to migrate to all Plan B muzzle devices under an inch and a half in length. Blast chamber clearance is a pain in the butt. 2.3" in length is well into that "good luck" territory. I couldn't get anything to mount on my Griffin Linear Comps without an XL mount that added more depth to allow a can to seat. Adding ounces and an inch or more to the end of your gun to accommodate a muzzle device feels bad. When my last two cans wouldn't clear them, I decided I was done with them, and they're 2.25" in length.

If I may, before you go too deep into YHM for mounts, I suggest you take a look at KAK Industry stuff. YHM is traditionally appealing because they used to be the best bang for the buck. That is no longer the case. Plan B as an interface (Q Cherry Bomb spec, originally) has become the industry favorite and everyone makes Plan B spec stuff these days. You can get into comparable muzzle devices for cheaper, and enjoy wider compatibility. YHM stuff works with YHM, and that's about it. I have started migrating everything over to Plan B and wished I had started with than rather than Griffin's Plan A. I can go out shooting with the guys now and we can just swap cans around on different hosts, which is fun and informative. The one guy still using YHM stuff forgot his can at home on the last match we shot, and with his comp on his AR, it felt like I was getting brain damage just watching him shoot the stage. Nobody could loan him a can because, well... YHM.

Basically, I picked my mounts based on my muzzle devices when I should really have picked a mount and then based my muzzle devices based on my mounts. I wanted the Linear Comp because I liked the concept of an sacrificial blast chamber, and it's great in theory, but most cans don't have blast chambers that readily accept muzzle devices that long.

I called them and they said the YHM parts listed will be just fine. I want muzzle devices that look as close as possible to Vietnam era.

I know B&t makes a hub adapter that fits A1 &A2 flash hiders.

I got a SilencerCo Bravo ASR and three prong flash hider.

Works flawlessly.

The HUB adapter is everything I wanted.
The guy at Appalachian Armory in Dawsonville, GA of all places had so much gear, e had no problem outfitting my can.

Now I'm gonna get a can cover because welding gloves are hard to shoot in.

I'm going to say wow if there was a retail store that had those 3 YHM parts.
That said I don't get why you need to touch the suppressor while shooting?

Transferring it to the 9mm DOE as per my initial post.

Most centerfire suppressors are sealed iconel or titanium to withstand the heat and pressure of rifle calibers. The Shaw website states "limited" full auto use.
I would recommend a liberal coating of high temp anti seize to the baffles closest to the HUB and the HUB threads.
The first baffle will show the most wear (erosion) over time.

Yeah, it came with suppressor lube.

It's not getting constant giggle.

It has stainless steel 5.56 over-baffles that can be replaced.

Suppressor covers hold heat in and keep the can from cooling down as it might otherwise. Welding gloves are usually the recommended go-to for hot-swapping cans. That, or silicon curling iron covers ($3ish on Amazon) over the can to help grip and insulate a bit and using gloves like you have. Removing a hot can from a taper mount like the YHM muzzle devices can sometimes result in taking the muzzle device with it due to thermal expansion, which is how those mounts are designed to keep a can from walking off.

Just some insights from a fair bit of this, myself. USB-C chargeable portable fans set to blow directly on the bare can when benched have worked really well for me for the swaparoo game. I also do suggest still wearing ear pro when shooting suppressed 5.56. There's no can out there that makes it hearing safe, even if it's not painful at the time.

Good to know that the failed Hearing Protection Act was just all a lie. Just an excuse to make expensive toys easier and cheaper to get.

I think even well-meaning politicians are still just as ignorant as the malicious ones. Television and films combined with lack of access and experience have given the vast majority of us in this country totally unrealistic expectations of what these devices are actually capable of. I know that much was true for me. Anymore, I view suppressors as blast mitigators that make shooting more pleasant to be around and any volume reduction is a side benefit.

My 22 can is flawless with subsonic, though.
