I toyed with the idea of an A2 adapter style mounting system before going Xeno. Many comments about be careful if you go that way. Check concentricity, arrow shafts, dedicated rods, etc. So now that I’m Xeno, do you guys still check the concentricity?

Ie, should I, at least the first time or every time, check before shooting? Or just screw it on and blast away.

Also I bought a can sock from dead air. Are they usually ok to put on no matter how hot? It says heat resistant and it will protect your case. Does that mean let it cool off for awhile first? (how long?).

Nah, just shoot it.

I have some silicon curling iron covers I bought for $3 on Amazon as “get home now instead of waiting a half hour” devices for my cans. I throw them over the suppressor and case the gun, then take everything out and let it cool when I get home. I wouldn’t do it if they glowing and smoking, but short of that, go for it.

I have Xeno adapters.

A 5.5mm carbon fiber rod from Amazon will do just fine.

All of mine have been perfect.

I always check alignment on a new installation, barrels do sometimes have issue as well as the other parts. Once its ok initially I don't feel like checking again for taper mounts is needed and don't. As far as hot, I just use a piece of welding blanket and just wrap it around it. No idea on the DA product.

I always check concentricity when mounting a particular suppressor on a particular gun for the first time, or I change the muzzle device or the adapter on the can. But not again once the specific combo has been verified.

These days I’m using the strike industries carbon fiber rod set for the check.
