Looking at getting a pistol suppressor. Something that I can use on Mt SIG P220 .45 ACP, GLOCK 22 .40S&W, GLOCK 17 9X19mm.

I'm looking primarily at the Rugged Obsidian 45, and the Banish 45. Leaning more toward the Banish because of it's slightly lighter weight, free tax stamp, and FDE option.

If you had to pick, which one? If someone has both, which one do you like best?

Is there something else you would recommend?

I have an Obsidian and its a very nice suppressor. I don't know anything about the banish but a quick look at the specs shows al baffles which I would never do. ever.
I'm looking for a new .45 can as well and the Majove 45 is what I'm thinking about.

I'd never heard of these guys, so I looked them up. They don't make that can anymore, they make something they call a Grenadier, and it's $1,300-1,450. That's a lot of bills in 2025 for a traditional design high backpressure can. Fully user serviceable in a titanium can is also kind of a "meh" since you can leave them in a jar of Breakfree or CLR for a week and have them come out shiny new. Also, at 8.5" and 11.5oz, there are shorter and quieter cans for less money that are lower backpressure for sure and these days, probably also quieter, especially for the price. At the very least, what does it do that the Banish does not? On paper, it's the same can for $950.

I found exactly one dude on Reddit and Youtube (FirearmFreedom) who was talking about these cans over two years ago, and he posted about them multiple times. I don't see where he said so, but he was clearly a brand affiliate. I can find almost nothing else about them that isn't from the brand itself. Maybe they're awesome, but I feel like in three year's worth of online activity, they would have more of a presence if they were.

About the Obsidian: It's a good can. A friend of mine has one. I feel like most people will never use it in the short configuration, though. I know he doesn't, and remarked about that once. The Obsidian is also notorious for endcap strikes, I'm not sure why, but it's enough of a "thing" that there are memes about it. I am not a Dead Air fan, but the Mojaves have developed a quick and strong following. I think a Mojave 45 would be hard to beat.

The thing that confuses me about the Mojave 45 is that it is slightly heavier than the DA Ghost 45, considering the Mojave is Titanium.

to be clear I was not suggesting one get an Obsidian at this point. I like mine, use it on 3 lug (rugged being one of the few with .45 3 lug available) which doesn't seem to have any issues, but time has passed its design by in this mad world of 3d printing suppressors. I have a majove9 and its been pretty darn impressive. I'm hoping the 45 version is as well.

It a tiny amount but I think the answer lies in two ways, some parts of the Ghost are Al (which I personally hate), and you get a booster piston in the Mohave and not one in the Ghost. And the Majove is a lot stronger and tougher in terms of what are the permitted calibers which translates to some amount of weight. May not matter to the OP.

Mojave 45 wasn't even on my radar. Now that has peeked my interest.

I'm looking for reasonable lightweight, able to be used on my SIG P220, GLOCK 22 .40S&W, GLOCK 17 9X19MM, and PCC.

I would like it to be as quiet as possible, and as small as possible ( or Modular, which I like better ).

So, I would love to hear for people that have one, and maybe something else and how they compare.

Generally speaking, these are mutually exclusive.

I run the Mojave 45 on my .45 cal PCCs, but haven’t run it on any conventional pistols. Using a KVP 3-lug adapter and an ECCO machine dead air P-series adapter. The Mojave replaced my Obsidian 45, which was fine, but I wanted a second can so that I could leave one permanently set up for 3-lug and the other set up for the booster piston.

fixed the spell check guardian to grenadier in my post.

OP, Which ever suppressor that you choose-
Make damn sure that the 45,40,9mm pistons have an internal shoulder to tighten against the barrel's muzzle.
Pistons that tighten against the barrel shoulder loosen easily & result in end cap strikes.

Who’s 9mm pistons index off the muzzle? Pretty much all of the 1/2x28 pistons I’m familiar with index off the barrel shoulder, plus the barrel threading is usually fairly short. I think M13.5 usually indexes off the muzzle, but not 1/2x28.

Indexing questions aside, I do recommend a couple of wraps of plumber's tape around the barrel threads to help reduce or even outright prevent walk-off.
