So I went thru silencer shop (electronic prints etc) to form 1 a mossberg shockwave. Well I got an email back from atf tonight saying the model “shockwave” doesn’t match the picture of the manufacturer roll mark. It says 590. Anyone with experience with e-forms, can I just somehow go into the form and change the model block. Or do I have to thrash everything and go back thru silencer shop and re-submit it under a new form 1? “You may beat me, but you will never win.” sigmonkey-2020 “ in my opinion, anything that we can do to trigger a potential aneurysm in a leftist is a good thing and worth doing” nhtagmember 2025

In my experience, once it’s denied, it has to be resubmitted. You can’t just edit and correct a denied submission.

The email says “disapproved” And to log into eforms for more details and to reapply with correct information “You may beat me, but you will never win.” sigmonkey-2020 “ in my opinion, anything that we can do to trigger a potential aneurysm in a leftist is a good thing and worth doing” nhtagmember 2025

Been a couple years since for me... but with EForms as Dwill104 said, you got to do it all over again. With paper forms you get a Second chance. I say give them a call to see if any has changed over the years...

Well, it says to reapply with the correct info, so that means to make a new submission, as I said. It used to be you could call an examiner and they might expedite the new submission, but I don’t think you can even talk to the examiners any more. They aren’t even named on the forms these days, just a generic “ATF official” stamp. No matter what, it will have to be resubmitted, because that particular submission is closed out and can’t be reopened. TBH, calling them is very likely a waste of time. The number you call just goes to worker drones who can’t do anything more than give you the status that you already know yourself, and can’t really help you. In these days of $0 tax stamps, and with the increased volume, I’m sure they are even less inclined to do anything other than just tell you to resubmit. You can try using “ask the experts” to see if that does anything. But if was me, I’d just call Silencer Shop, tell them it got denied, needs to be resubmitted, and get it going now.

Not a chance you can fix it. just fill out a new one and move on. As an aside Silencershop IMO should have known and caught this, its a very common issue. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

Thanks guys. I sent an email to silencer shop, their AI emailed me back and said they would forward it to staff. Now I’m at will of SS because that’s how I did my prints electronically. And I don’t retain a copy of the prints. “You may beat me, but you will never win.” sigmonkey-2020 “ in my opinion, anything that we can do to trigger a potential aneurysm in a leftist is a good thing and worth doing” nhtagmember 2025

Read this. https://www.reddit.com/r/NFA/s/l4NZAF0bzR Apparently right now, it should be possible for you to download your .eft from eforms even though you submitted with Silencershop. I suggest doing so and re-filing on your own. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

I tried that smudge from a laptop and when you click on it , it’s gobbledygook. Mrs. Mike says it’s bc it’s not a .pdf . Reading into the Reddit thread, it only works on forms that are submitted, vs completed. So I got that going for me. So, I’m waiting for silencer shop to get back to me. I had to send them the denial from ATF. SS said I could get a refund or try again. They have my prints so I’ll give it another go. The frustrating thing is I started the forms on 04 JAN, silencer shop responds back and I was able to drop the form at ATF on 15JAN. Then it took them till 10FEB to disapprove it. Same thing happened to me- approved after full resubmit. I REALLY hope this BS NFA crap goes away over the next few years, at least for SBR/cans. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. When I was looking for somebody to do EFT fingerprints for me last month for an SBR, I went to a LGS that has a SS kiosk and asked if he could download the prints that I had done on a different SS kiosk several years ago for a form 4 for a can. Nope, he said once they're submitted they're not available on the kiosk any longer.

Well, there's always the hope the states pickup on WV's attempt to use the exemption in the Hague Act to get the STATE to buy machine guns, then sell them to residents. WV was trying to do that, with a $250 fee + "admin costs" {whatever that is}. GOA is behind the push.

I got my EFT from my LGS off the kiosk, I watched where it stored the file and immediately emailed the file to myself when the employee had to "go help another customer" so I could do it. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

Wow my dealer gave me a flash drive with both eft and picture. They had there own setup so it was pretty quick.

Huh. Maybe you have to get the EFT file from the same kiosk that the prints were taken on. The guy I talked to is 500 miles away from where mine were done.

It’s just a computer file, the same as any other file. Once it’s created on the kiosk, it can be copied, downloaded, emailed, attached, etc., the same as any other file. The main issue is that SilencerShop doesn’t want you to have the file because otherwise you might not use their services in the future.
